Why the Owner Chose Estes Park:
We chose to 'retire' in Estes Park for its beauty, accessibility and outdoor opportunities.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Little Valley offers exceptional views and easy access to town. The dining area in the cabin is surrounded on three sides by an old growth aspen grove. There is no better place to relax and enjoy the mountain views than our living room and front deck!"

Reviews from Guests:

  • Great vacation location

Our stay was wonderful!  We also rented the cabin across the road which for our group of 26 was a great addition to needed space.  The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, pots & pans, baking pans, and even mixers, crock pots, and griddles.  You won't need to bring anything!  There is even an extra fridge in the walk-in pantry for drinks or whatever you wish.  There were also lots of towels, blankets, & pillows for a large group.  There was a good variety of games, toys and puzzles for all ages, as well as a selection of Disney movies.  I would recommend that if you're coming when there is snow on the ground, you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.  Some of the hills are a little steep and with snow you will need something to make it there.  We had a couple of families with just front wheel drive and we had to push them a few times.  The views were wonderful as well as the abundant wildlife running through the property.  We would absolutely rent again if we ever find ourselves in Estes Park in the future!

    Family Vacation - Perfect

The pictures do not do this property justice.  Everything was better than expected.  We had plenty of room and with little kids the house was perfect as it was very nice and welcoming but not "Fancy" like they were going to break something.  Plus, the out door play-set and trampoline were a huge hit.  The giant wraparound deck was perfect for evening dinners and the view of the mountains was awesome.  The home is very secluded with no view of the neighbors.  The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc.

    Absolutely the best!

Our stay here was absolutely amazing!  Linda and Bob were the kindest and most welcoming people we have met. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect! The house is beautiful!  There was plenty of room for everyone and the house had everything we needed to entertain our friends. We will be back there every year from now on for our annual get together with our friends.  We absolutely loved this place.

    50th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in July with our family of 18 at the Moak Lodge.  We had a wonderful time and there was plenty of room for all of us.  The facilities at the lodge were great and so was the view of the mountains.  The dishwasher and the outdoor grill were used a lot.  The trampoline was enjoyed by many along with the swings and the children loved seeing the horses.  We had deer and elk in our yard many times during out visit.  Our grandchildren ranged in ages from 15 to 3 and they all want to return.  Linda was easy to work with and we would highly recommend the lodge.

    Family Gathering

Our family of 22 (3 generations, grandparents to a one-year-old) from Illinois and California all met in Colorado to spend a week together. Moak Lodge certainly accommodated us well, with good sleeping arrangements and comfortable beds, space for all the family to gather, very adequate cooking/grilling facilities, and many other amenities.  Everyone enjoyed the beautiful deck, with great views of snow-capped mountains, and the children enjoyed the play equipment and the horses. We appreciated the private, peaceful surroundings, yet the proximity to Estes Park and to Rocky Mountain National Park.  Our week including much fantastic hiking, so it was an advantage to reach the National Park without having to drive through town.  It was nice to work with Linda; she was pleasant, friendly and helpful, and always responded promptly to our questions and concerns. We can heartily recommend beautiful Moak Lodge for a pleasant stay in the mountains. Our 2-year-old granddaughter wonders when we are going back to “our Colorado house”!
