Item Description

Evelyn Lombardi Lail wanted to be an Artist all of her life despite family wishes to be “practical”. Finding that she could do studies and a degree in Fine Art gave her the opportunity to go for it. Teachers also gave her the incentive. (One teacher at the 3rd grade level had her do a “mural”). After High School she went to the University of Denver and did a BFA in Fine Art and Fine Art Education. She began to exhibit and teach, also joined the Colorado Watercolor Society, and learning to be “practical” with her art abilities. She has had her work accepted in American Watercolor Society and other like societies. She also has traveled extensively and studied in Florence, Italy for a year. She has won awards from many national water media shows. She has a book about techniques and their possible usage. Creativity is high on her list in her works and life in general.

The mask is painted with acrylics in a decorative manner in solid colors.
