Item Description

Holly McClelland is a graphic designer, fine artist, filmmaker and Story Center co-facilitator who lives in Denver, CO. She's an aspiring mycologist and an expert rock skipper. As a recent survivor of breast cancer, Holly’s work has grown to reflect different levels of what it means to be alive. This mask reflects the mountains of Niwot Ridge, Colorado, where Holly’s mentor, who was well-cared for during her final days by Hospice, introduced Holly to mushroom hunting, Krummholtz pine, and flower appreciation. Most of this exploration was done on skis or while hiking in alpine environments.
