Item Description
Catherine Crawford has been working with glass since 1991. She has worked with stained glass, fused glass and wire wrapped glass jewelry. Her inspiration comes from nature’s palette of colors. Suzie White uses both skills from pottery and glass work experience to create objects in glass with the textural designs from unique clay forms. She is inspired to make functional art pieces to use in everyday life. Catherine and Suzie collaborate on teaching fused glass classes and creating new art by stretching their creativeness and techniques in glass. Our inspiration for this mask started with the challenge from Glass Artists of Colorado organization. Many of us were inspired to create a mask for the Denver Hospice.
This “Mask for a Masquerade” is created by applying glass mosaics to the form with a hint of fused dichroic glass.
