Item Description
Distinctive three-petal sterling silver necklace with a striking sky blue topaz cabochon, bezel set above a collection of petal shapes. Each petal is a unique hammered texture with a dark patina. The piece hangs on a dark oxidized silver 18" cable chain with a hand-formed clasp. A very special handcrafted piece designed by Seattle Artist Julie McCormick that is dramatically different with a modern industrial yet romantic feel.
Jewelry Designer Julie McCormick's work is very textural with dark patinas, pops of color and glints of shine, much like life. If you are familiar with Seattle you may understand how influential the city, and perhaps the Pacific Northwest, is in her creations. Her jewelry has also been described as industrial and minimalist. Whatever it is, Julie McCormick truly enjoys making it and can often be found designing, sawing, hammering, soldering and stone setting in her little home studio in beautiful Seattle!
