The story: Gaby says, “The vase was on the table and I moved it and it broke. I was about to throw it out and I thought the vase is so pretty… I'm going to adhere it to a piece of wood. And then this painting happened. I love what I got.”

The vase that Gaby has adhered to the painting creates wonderful depth and invokes a unique sense of creativity.  

About Gabriella Spina Drake:  Showing a love of art at an early age, Gaby could not leave crayons alone. Progressing with her love of art through her teens, she graduated from high school early. Gaby was from a big Italian family in the restaurant business in Michigan where everyone worked for her Dad in some way.  Loving her family, all things Italian and especially great Italian cooking, Gaby still needed to break out on her own and follow her heart.  Gaby moved to San Francisco where she attended The Academy of Art University and launched her career.

With over 30 exhibitions in the United States, Gaby is not only an honored artist but is passionate about stimulating the creative spirit for all.

Gaby says,. “Anyone can learn how to render anything. Art is a human spirit expressing oneself via pigment, instruments, words, etc. And hopefully the end result is evoked emotion. I do not decide to create; rather it is an uncontrollable passion. And I never let my conscious take control therefore allowing my subconscious to emerge. For years I did not want to share my creations with the public, for it would be revealing my soul. I now feel it is my duty, my obligation to share with my fellow man. To share is directly related to education.

Education is a door to Culture.   Culture is Art. Art is Expression. Expression is Spiritual.”
