Item Description
I have been interested in art my whole life and have worked in various mediums over the years. Printmaking, jewelry, watercolor and oil painting have all caught my fancy. Currently, I work mostly in oil. I have participated in several galleries and have been a gallery owner. My earliest award for my work was in high school when I won first place in a nationwide Scholastic art contest for general design. I travel extensively. Ideas and themes from other cultures are often part of my work. My motto is “It’s all good!”
My mask, Mahalo, represents gratitude for our life and our earth. The blues represent the sea, marine, and turquoise blue for our beautiful oceans. The coppery brown represents the earth, while the flower mouth of the mask represents fire. The wind is represented by the light blue of the sky and the tangle of flowers blowing in the wind. Aloha.
