Item Description
Linda Hollingdale took this photo of a rock tower while walking along The Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine. She says of the tower, "I saw it from a distance and took several photos as I approached it. My persistence paid off when one of the photos coincided with a great splash of a wave. On my return, I noticed that the tower had returned to the ocean. I named it 'Awake' because of the feeling I get when being splashed by a cold wave... it also reminded me of impermanence when I saw the tower was gone."
Linda has enjoyed photographing life's moments for several decades and is drawn to images that touch mind and heart. She is a student and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism.
