Cowgirl Creamery is a full-service, European-style cheese shop offering the Creamery’s own cheeses and artisan farmstead cheese from some of the most distinguished cheesemakers in America and Europe.
Situated right in the heart of historic Point Reyes Station, Cowgirl Creamery will introduce you and your guests to how the company started, how their cheese is produced and how to store cheese. Best of all, you will get a chance to sample the creamery's award-winning cheeses. Tour includes lunch at the creamery, which includes one of their daily made, fresh bread sandwiches, a side salad and beverage.
Cowgirl co-founders Sue Conley and Peggy Smith spent decades working in some of the Bay Area’s most loved and respected restaurants. "Cowgirl Creamery Cooks" is a collection of 75 of their favorite recipes for cooking with cheese, as well as their vast accumulated wisdom about tasting, buying, serving, and appreciating all kinds of cheese.
The book also features more than 60 photographs of delicious cheeses, finished dishes, and the rolling hills of coastal California,narrating the story of the Cowgirls, the rise of the organic dairy movement, and the enjoyment of good cheese.
