Item Description
Medium: Mixed media – polymer clay for the sculptures
The stand is part of the artwork.
Mona Burkard is back again this year, and she has brought a breathtaking piece of art to the table! This year, her egg represents the unique, beautiful animal that the cheetah is, and how fragile it’s place on this earth. While looking gorgeous, the egg reminds us that there is tender work and care that goes into making sure that the piece does not break.
The modeled cheetah portrait and the free-standing sculptured cheetah on the base were lovingly crafted from polymer clay and painted.
Mona has donated yet again something wonderful, and we at the CCF enjoy her hard work and dedication towards saving the cheetah species.
Item Special Note
About Mona:
Mona Burkard is an artist living in the Hudson Valley, but her lifelong ambition has been to visit Africa and see the big cats in person to represent them in her art from a place of authenticity.
