If there is a particular reaction to traveling to exotic places, it must be the traveler’s desire to bring it home. And share it. A love for diverse cultures, philosophies and wildlife was the genesis of Trenna Daniell’s first foray into art. Her trips to some of the most exotic places of the world have inspired her to capture the passionate heat of the tropics in Hawaii or the South Seas or heartfelt renderings of the endangered species she encountered on Safari in Africa.
Trenna likes to call her work “Art to the Heart”. She feels her passion for painting comes from her heart flowing onto the canvas. When someone is touched by her work, it flows from the art to his or her heart.
Trenna also enjoys doing private commissions and has developed a unique ability to paint places that her clients have visited. She says “Now days it seems our memories of special travels get stuck on the computer or in photo albums. I thoroughly enjoy painting a special travel experience that enables the client to relive that memory again.”
Her work has appeared in Aloha Airlines, Artists of Hawaii, and in the Collectors Galleries on Maui and Kauai. The Palms Hotel and Casino, commissioned Trenna to produce southwestern pastels for their hotel in Las Vegas. Her work hangs in numerous resorts around the world including Sandals Resort on Negril Beach in Jamaica. She is a featured artist in the “Best of Wildlife” edition from North Light Books.
Recently, both the St Julien Hotel, a 5 star hotel in Boulder and the Hotel Teatro, an award winning hotel in Denver have asked her to display over 45 pieces for a season.
Trenna is currently living in Boulder Colorado and is “Romancing the Rockies”. With its rich history and scenic beauty she finds Colorado a constant source of inspiration. Her mountain works hang in homes in Boulder, Denver, Aspen, Vail and Beaver Creek.
Trenna lives and paints in her studio in Boulder Colorado.
