Join Diana Winston, Director of Mindfulness Education at UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) for a six week online class introducing Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) II for cultivating positive emotions.
In this follow up class to MAPs I, participants will learn how to cultivate loving kindness, compassion, equanimity, joy, gratitude, and forgiveness. This is a helpful expansion of mindfulness practice.
Participants will learn new meditations to develop these qualities, tools to work with when they find themselves stuck and not feeling positive emotions, and practical exercises to incorporate them into daily life.
This six-week course can be accessed from anywhere in the world and at any time during the six weeks. Participants work at their own pace with pre-recorded audio and video materials as well as take part in a weekly live chat with the instructor and other participants
MARC is UCLA's Center dedicated to fostering mindful awareness through education and research to promote well-being and a more compassionate society.
The successful bidder will have their choice of class dates in 2017.
