Item Description
Over fifty years ago Charles Brenton Fisk founded this company. By turns curious, wise, funny, and demanding, Charlie revived traditional organ building, most notably a return to mechanical (or "tracker") key action. His rich and eclectic musical sensibility left an indelible mark on American organ building and on those who proudly continue Charlie's legacy of innovation and thoughtful craftsmanship.
C.B. Fisk has the ability to construct an entire organ on their own premises and this is the most important component in their quality control. Keyboards, windchests, pipemetal, casework, carving, wedge bellows making, visual design and installation, often outsourced by their competitors, are all accomplished by their own staff members. Supply is kept to a very limited number of firms with whom they have long-established professional relationships, and on whom they can rely to provide them with parts and materials exactly as they specify them. Low quality components are never used, only the best and longest lasting parts are good enough for inclusion in a Fisk organ.
Come and see first hand how these masterpieces are made! This package includes a private tour for up to 25 guests at C.B. Fisk Organ Company, with light refreshments being provided.
