Item Description
This is the 5th mask that Andrea Hyatt has created for The Denver Hospice. Her art has been exhibited at the Northern Colorado Invitational (juried exhibit, 1978), the Jewish Community Center Collectors Mart Juried Exhibit - 1976-1980, and the Mizel Museum - Jewish Women in the Arts Show (2005, 2006, 2007). Says Andrea: "I love drawing and painting whimsical women's faces. The Hospice Mask Project gives me that opportunity on a surface other than paper on canvas. Each mask I design takes on its own unique characteristics. I recycle and incorporate all kinds of materials in my work/s including treasures from Mother Nature. The freedom and liberty to express myself through my art and creativity is so very joyful!"
The title of my mask is "Skyflower". The magnificance of creation exists here on earth (as in the flowers), in the sky, in the moon, the stars, the sun and well beyond! Skyflower praises it all!
