Item Description
William Brown began painting as a young man 40 years ago and continued throughout his various careers as teacher, designer and business owner. Although he has shown his work in many venues, for the past decade he has been painting for his own enjoyment. William paints in acrylic on canvas, usually. The Mask Project provides an interesting change of surface but the subject matter is still landscape! With landscape, there is a never-ending font of inspiration. For this mask, one can see the landscape moving across the face, even as the eyes move across a landscape. The mask becomes a "canvas" for a tight, confined landscape that seems endless.
