Item Description
Kristin Loudis has always been drawn to photography as a means of her self-expression and it’s allowed her to vary her art over the years because of it’s ever-changing medium.
She started shooting street photography while living in San Francisco and also traveled the world for several years, with a camera in hand.
From photographing portraits of “Dogs of the 101” in San Diego to macro photography of her flower garden in Denver, she’s always trying to interpret what she sees around her.
With her latest body of work called “Garden Spirits” she photographed a unique Iris that had the perfect face for The Mask Project.
She also has a website to showcase her photography at www.kristinloudisphotography.com, as well as her love of dog photography at www.DogsofDenver.com.
Item Special Note
Title of Mask: “Iris”
My mom was given hospice in the last week of her life and it was the most caring experience I’ve ever encountered, so this is truly an honor to be included in The Mask Project for The Denver Hospice. I knew I wanted to photograph a unique flower that had a “face” in it so it took me several months just to find the perfect flower to photograph, and it happened to be blooming in my garden last spring.
After multiple tries of getting the image transfer to adhere to the mask, “Iris” finally came to life.
