Item Description
Bandhu, the greater one-horned rhino at Denver Zoo has an exceptionally calm and sweet demeanor for being two tons worth of muscle. Native to India & Nepal they can live to 40 years of age but sadly due to poaching only 3330 live in the wild today.
At 7 years old, Bandhu is the hardest working rhino in Toyota Elephant Passage. He has been over the bridge, in every yard, the elephant parlor, several elephant stalls and transfer-ways and even does demos on the peninsula. He loves a good belly rub and is known to lift his leg and lay down if you get the right spot. He loves food, people, and most of all his 100 lb. cylinder toy. Bandhu really got his artistic groove on while painting this particular painting.
