The Carneros Wine Alliance is a non-profit association of wineries and grape-growers in the Carneros American Viticultural Area. Influenced by the maritime breezes and fog from its southern border with the San Pablo Bay, Carneros produces the region’s finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and sparkling wines. The Carneros Wine Alliance is committed to promoting the distinction, diversity and above all, quality, of the grapes and wines from Carneros.

Tasting and Tour for Four at the Donum Estate. The Donum Estate is owned by three European friends who share a passion for wine and art. Their "ultimate Pinot Noir project" is based on a Burgundian grand cru model, with the goal of producing the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their experience with the land spans decades, yet they continue to learn as they strive for more profound fruit expression from each block, row and vine. As Donum’s art collection evolves within the estate, they further appreciate the significance of a work in progress. The interplay between the wine production and art collection expresses beauty through a singular sense of place. In 2001, Anne Moller-Racke set out to make the best Pinot Noir from their Carneros vineyard. The heart of this pursuit has always encompassed the entire journey from vine to bottle. Today, Donum is recognized as one of California’s top Pinot Noir producers. Their quest to craft complete, beautiful, site-specific wines from their estate vineyards continues throughout each vintage. Valid until September 1, 2017.
Private Wine Tasting for Four from Poseidon Vineyard and Obsidian Ridge at their tasting room at Cornerstone Sonoma. Maritime fogs roll across Poseidon Vineyard, blown in by cooling Pacific winds and burned away again by the California sun. Here, on the lip of the San Francisco Bay, they’ve grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes to supply exceptional California wineries for over forty years. For more than a decade, they’ve been harvesting them to create their own wines, reinventing the traditional and emphasizing the unembellished taste of the fruit itself. Poseidon Vineyard lies at sea level, at the confluence of Carneros Creek and the Napa River. Even after four decades of farming, this undulating, gravelly bayside terrain continues to inspire exploration and discovery.
Obsidian Ridge brings you wines from the mountains. Less than 1% of the Earth’s surface can produce exceptional wines. These rare sites share the balance of ripening sun with cooling air, resulting either from latitude, proximity to the sea, or elevation. Of the three, wines of elevation are perhaps the most rare and create dense, delicious wines. Planted along a ridge at the highest part of the Mayacamas Mountains, 105 acres of Obsidian Ridge Vineyard rise from 2,300' to 2,640' in elevation. The contours of the mountainside influence how they prune, water, balance the canopy, and pick the fruit—shaping literally every aspect of how they farm and vinify. To be arranged for a mutually agreeable date and time.
Exclusive Tour and Tasting for Four at Bouchaine. You’ll have a hosted VIP tour of their beautiful vineyards and winery, including a walk through the historic winery, gardens, and cellar to barrel sample of up-coming releases, followed by a tasting of currently released wines. Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operated winery in Carneros, Napa Valley. Winemaker Chris Kajani has made wine in Carneros for over 15 years, specializing in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Bouchaine’s Estate Chardonnay is deftly crafted to show complexity and liveliness, not a cloak of oak. Their Pinot Noirs show the multi-dimensional layers, beauty, and elegance that Carneros Pinots are known for, with a seamless balance of spice, fruit, smoke and earth. Reserve at least six weeks prior. Tours are held May through October, weekdays only. Valid until September 19, 2017.
Vineyard Tour and Tasting for Four from Garnet Vineyards and Stanly Ranch. Join Garnet Vineyards winemaker Alison Crowe for a VIP tour of the historic Stanly Ranch in Carneros. Learn what makes Carneros wine unique during a personal vineyard tour followed by a tasting of wine and cheeses selected by the winemaker. Garnet Vineyards winemaker and Pinot Noir specialist Alison Crowe has been making wine from Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir for over 10 years. Her experience and simple winemaking philosophy allow her to truly showcase the beauty and elegance of this historic property. First planted to grapes in the 1870s, Stanly Ranch today is a Carneros icon and one of the most sought-after grape sources for area wineries. The cooling influence of nearby San Pablo Bay helps temper the warm afternoons of this easternmost vineyard in the Carneros appellation, yielding distinctive flavors of ripe cherries, rhubarb pie, strawberry jam and sweet spices. Reserve at least six weeks prior. Tours are held May through October, weekdays. Valid until July 30, 2017.
Private Tour and Tasting with Cheese Pairings for up to four in the Barrel Aging Caves at Schug Carneros Estate, Sonoma. As former winemaster of Joseph Phelps Vineyards in the Napa Valley, Walter Schug crafted the legendary Insignia and Eisele Vineyard Cabernets of the 1970s and early 1980s, as well as America’s first Syrah. He founded his own winery in 1980 to produce elegant Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the cool-climate Carneros region. Limited bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc round out the portfolio. To be arranged for a mutually agreeable date and time. Valid until September 1, 2017.
