Item Description
Long Island’s Gold Coast—Golf Outing and Lunch for Four at The Muttontown Club
A round of golf and lunch for four in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of The Muttontown Club, a private, member-owned country club located in East Norwich, New York (an hour from midtown via the LIE) with a storied past. Opened in 1962, the course was designed by renowned golf course architect Alfred Tull. Today, the impeccably maintained course features a traditional layout, enjoyable for all skill levels, with an excellent practice facility to boot. Before or after your round, enjoy an elegant lunch in the clubhouse, offering some of the finest in Long Island’s country club dining.
Topping off your visit, The Muttontown Club staff will offer gracious hospitality as you tour the historic 1919 Georgian manor house once home to Henry Fonda—and dubbed “The Mad Chimneys” for its 25 fireplaces and 13 chimneys distributed among 44 rooms.
