Item Description
This beautiful original watercolor by local artist Nancy Seaton perfectly captures the ephemeral nature of northern Minnesota's most iconic wildflower, the lady slipper. Nancy lives and works on the Gunflint Trail north of Grand Marais, and is well known for her work in glass and watercolor. Her watercolors are painted on vellum paper, on both sides and sometimes layering multiple sheets, eliciting the effects of colored glass.
"I hope that my work can bring you into the forest where you’ll find the time to stop and enjoy the quiet, color and beauty that can only be found in such wild places," Nancy writes.
Item Special Note
Painting, including frame, is 21" x 29.5" inches. Print can be picked up at North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN, or shipped at the winning bidder's cost.
