Item Description
This beautiful watercolor of summer flowers in a jar evokes a feeling of cheerfulness and warmth.
Maureen Culbert is a photography and watercolor artist, lives in E. Springfield with her husband, Fred Culbert. "Painting most of my life, I have recently revisited watercolor. I prefer to highlight the simplicity and beauty of nature. In my subject material I choose to focus on scenes of the area, and flowers.
As an avid gardener, many of the flowers in my garden are used in my work. When taking photographs, I like to find contrasts. This leads the eye to search for the beauty in the contrast."
Created by Maureen Culbert, parent of CGP alumni Meghan Culbert '15.
In addition, this lot also includes a silver-plated Paul Revere reproduction pitcher. This classic water or milk pitcher could be displayed or used by anyone who enjoys the vintage look.
