Item Description
If you love great films and enjoy sharing your passion for all things cinema with others in the know, this is the perfect choice for you. A club you'll actually want to join.
This is a subscription for two to the popular Music Hall Film Club. It meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from January through June 2017 and is moderated by host Susan Poulin. This series focuses on Barbara Stanwyck and the Six Giant Directors.
January 17: The Lady Eve (1941) Henry Fonda; dir. Preston Sturges
February 21: Double Indemnity (1944) Fred MacMurray, Edward G. Robinson; dir. Billy Wilder
March 21: Stella Dallas (1937) dir. King Vidor
April 18: Ball of Fire (1941) Gary Cooper; dir. William Wyler
May 16: Forty Guns (1947) Barry Sullivan; dir. Sam Fuller
June 20: Meet John Doe (1941) Gary Cooper; dir. Frank Capra
Movies are selected by the folks who founded the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado and then brought the first-look film fun to our own Music Hall's Telluride By the Sea Film Festival. Bill and Stella Pence know good cinema.
Bid high for this membership and get your cultural life off to a great start for the coming New Year. The late, great film critic Roger Ebert once said, "Every great film should seem new every time you see it." Join this club and see great film.
About your host, Susan Poulin:
