Item Description
Magnificent antique KPM covered sugar bowl (zuckerdosse) is in the Neuzierat pattern and, based on the design of the blue KPM scepter mark on the bottom, was produced in the late 1800s. It has paintings of flowers on both the bowl and the lid; the four floral paintings on the bowl and the four floral paintings on the lid are all different; both the bowl and the lid have gold edging and a gold raised flower and garland design around the floral paintings. The bowl is approximately 2 inches in diameter at the base, 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the top and 2 3/8 inches high; there is a gold design on the inside rim of the bowl; on the base is the blue KPM scepter and the initials "M. L."; in gold; the lid is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches high at the knob; with the lid on, the covered bowl is approximately 4 inches high; there is a minute chip on the inside rim of the lid.
