Item Description
One-of-a-kind handmade earrings in brown, tan, & silver mokume gane (sterling, copper & shakudo) design on hand forged sterling wire hooks by a husband and wife team.
Mokume gane is a japanese term meaning "wood eye metal", a traditional Japanese sword makers’ technique that develops the wood-grain patterns in the metal lamination process. The metals, copper and sterling in this case, are fused together in a kiln then forged. Grooves made into the metal reveal the different colored layers. The metal is then forged flat again and the process repeated to develop the patterns.
Pendant: 1" x 1/2"
Hanging Length: ≈ 1 3/8"
