Item Description

Blue and red glass sculpture. (Measurements: 12x6x6 inches).

Hutter refers to himself as “a formalist, intrigued by forms and structures in the environment that are best experienced by walking around each piece to view how it reacts to light, movement, and the environment.”

Hutter was among the first artists in the world who experimented with laminated glass techniques and is considered a pioneer in the American Studio Glass Movement.

His unique pallet of pigmented laminates form landscapes of color between layers of clear, polished glass. His works are included in many important public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and at The White House.
