Seven years after Ninkasi Brewing Company started brewing in Oregon, they decided the sky was not the limit. One year, two rockets and countless lab hours later, they successfully launched a payload of brewer’s yeast into outer space with the help of rocket scientists. After a much awaited return to Earth, the mission of creating space beer is now complete.
With this package you'll score a bottle (1 pint 6fl oz * 10 Alc by Vol) of Ground Control, which was aged in Old Forester Bourbon barrels. This second-edition brew captures the excitement and adventure of launching yeast into space and returning it to Earth for brewing. Brewed with Oregon hazelnuts, star anise, cocoa nibs and fermented with an Ale yeast that survived a trip to space and back, Ground Control 2016 is every bit as delicious as its predecessor with an additional aged complexity.
