Item Description
A noted, published local historian for over 25 years, Robert Novak specializes in conducting illustrated talks on diverse aspects of Connecticut history at numerous libraries, organizations and senior health care facilities in Southwest Connecticut. His signature program is called "Yesterday's Headlines", featuring local news stories and imagery from 100, 75, and 50 years ago. Drawing upon his large collection of unique images, he also frequently conducts special programs, including "life and times" commemorations for individual or organizational milestone birthdays or anniversaries, and a variety of specialized topics, regions, events, or people. Rob's areas of expertise are the cities and towns in and around the I-95 corridor from Westport to Milford, and the Route 8 & 25 corridor from Bridgeport to Seymour and Newtown.
