Item Description
Colleen Hanley was one of the first women to take the surf art scene by storm. She has become well-known for her vibrant, soulful seascapes that have a feel, flow and style all their own. Her paintings bring color and imagination to homes, galleries, hotels, shops and other venues around the world.
Colleen got hooked on surfing when she was 9 years old. Nearly every day, without fail, she grabbed her board and headed for the local break to check the surf. And each time, without fail, her mom made her promise she would not paddle out until a friend or another surfer arrived, even if the conditions were perfect when she got there. Colleen would literally sit still and wait on the beach while good waves were breaking right before her eyes. As she grew older, Colleen learned to appreciate the broader meaning and potential rewards of having patience.
After she decided to step off the road of competitive surfing, Colleen toiled hard for many years to make a name for herself in the art world, waiting tables and serving sushi and doing other odd jobs to make ends meet. Colleen knew her art was worth selling and she never gave up on her dream, and now she is living it. Colleen now sells her paintings to clients around the world from her studio in the heart of Shaper's Alley, home to some of the world's finest board shapers.
The board is an 8'2" fun gun shaped by Slick and glassed by Brawner.

Packing, shipping and handling are not included. Boards can be picked up at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel or purchaser can arrange for shipping. Boards will be available for pick up or shipping on, or after, Monday, January 2, 2017. All boards must be picked up or shipped no later than Friday, January 30, 2017.
