What to expect on a Soaring Adventures Experience

Winning bidders will meet the pilot and ground crew who will take them to the launch site where the beautiful balloon is being inflated. The ground crew will unpack the equipment and invite the passengers to participate in the inflation process. After launching, the balloon will gently ascend and float between 500 and 1,000 feet. They will travel above the treetops and below the clouds for about an hour, covering five to ten miles--wherever the wind takes them! The whole experience takes about three hours...three fantastic hours!

The Flight Ticket Package That the Winning Bidder Will Receive Includes:

  • An Official Soaring Adventures of America, Inc. Flight Ticket good for at least 12 months from your auction date.
  • The list of Our 200 Hot Air Balloon Ride locations, pilots' names, and ride scheduling phone numbers
  • A Colorful Keepsake Picture of a Hot Air Balloon.

Soaring Adventures of America, Inc. was founded by aviation-enthusiast, Rob Wilkinson, in 1980. What started as a small network of gliderports up and down the East Coast has now grown into the largest recreational aviation network in the country. Joined now by his wife and daughter in the business as well as several good friends and hundreds of pilots, "Captain Rob" is still at the helm very much enjoying his work, flying whenever he can, and taking his customers' spirits soaring at our Martha's Vineyard location every summer.
