Item Description

6’0 SWEET POTATO
Rapidfire technology with FCS fin plugs
6’0 x 23” x 3” at 51 liters

The SWEET POTATO dramatically changes the ratio between the length and width of a board while still allowing the design to perform at a very high level.

Designer Dan Mann explains, "The aggressive bottom contour creates considerable lift and the deep double concave with a 'spine' down the middle divide the board in half isolating the fins, rocker and bottom on one side of the board at a time. This allows the board to get on a rail quickly. The SWEET Potato is the board you should always bring on a surf check, and you'll find yourself ripping on small days where you'd otherwise go home."

Rapidfire's core is shaped from fused 1.5lb foam and the full deck Bamboo Springer is applied using Firewire's proven sandwich construction. The interior carbon rods work in tandem with the full deck Bamboo Springer to optimize flex patterns, creating top end speed and drive through turns, while the Springer also creates additional compression strength.

Firewire designs some of the most technologically advanced surfing equipment in the world. Their use of innovative design and materials has the rest of the industry playing catch up. Words like Flex, Parabolic and Sandwich Construction were previously the domain of engineering forums. Thanks to Firewire they are now part of the everyday discussion surrounding surfboard design. Firewire continues to push the performance envelope, constantly introducing major innovations that provide a tangible performance advantage.
