Item Special Note
Born and raised in London, Brian’s first avenue into the animal care industry came when he volunteered at a falconry school, and after a short period, joining the school professionally, advancing to the role of Head Falconer, teaching students and designing and delivering falconry displays all over the UK. This led to being employed as a carnivore Keeper at Paradise Wildlife Park, over the next 10 years progressing to Head Keeper. In 2010, Brian took the reins as General Manager of Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Kent, UK, a specialist breeding and conservation centre specializing in big cats and many small species of cat too. His association with CCF began with fundraising and cheetah awareness evenings in support of CCF, and visits by Dr Laurie Marker. This set the wheels in motion for Brian to join the CCF team full time in Namibia as Operations Manager in June 2012.
