You are bidding on a one night stay for 2 adults, including dinner and breakfast at Lake Mansfield Trout Club, a private fishing lodge nestled on the shore of Lake Mansfield, a 39 acre lake in the secluded Nebraska Valley in Moscow, a few miles from Stowe, VT.
LMTC dates from about 1900, having undergone a couple of restorations..Main building is 3 stories with about 25 rooms. several have private baths, the remaining have shared baths. Rooms are simple, but comfortable and clean..each consists of normally two twin beds or a double...dresser, nightstand, lamps and linens. There are also two fireplaces in the common areas and a beautiful wrap-around porch (with rocking chairs0 overlooking the lake.
Meals are served family style with a single serving for each. The menu varies each night of the week. It may be prime rib one night...seafood the next etc. It is very good with generous helpings.
Alcohol can only be consumed in certain locations of the club. It is not permitted at the dining tables, but there is an adjacent room where there's usually a lively happy hour (byob).
The lodge is open from approximately May 15 to October 10 and is an ideal location for fishing, hiking Vermont's Long Trail, swimming, or just relaxing with a book on the porch overlooking pristine Lake Mansfield.

Note: Club prohibits use of cell phones..portable electronics. There are no tvs in the rooms or common areas. Quiet is emphasized.
