Item Description

As a print designer/artist, Ben Copperwheat produces clothing, art, and interior pieces. In addition to creating textile collections for Gucci, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Peter Som, Phillip Lim, DKNY, and Daryl K, his work has been commissioned by personalities and organizations including Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, Boy George, Liza Minelli, Pat Cleveland, Isabella Blow, Rod Thomas and David Collins Studio.

In 2002, Ben debuted his paintings to the public at Studio Voltaire alongside Liz Neal, Holly Johnson, Erdem Moralioglu, Patrick Coleman and Shezad Dawood at AUSGANG!, a group show curated by Liz Neal. Recently, in 2015, Ben participated in the Interface group exhibition at the Leslie Lohman Museum, and in the 2015 and 2016 POWERED group show.

Ben Copperwheat graduated with a MA Textiles from the Royal College of Art in 2001. He was a Fashion Textiles lecturer at the University of Northumbria. Currently residing in Brooklyn, he moved to New York City in 2003.
