Item Description
The 1960's appear to be a time when people actually knew the difference between cheetahs and leopards! Almost every well-executed imitation of cheetah fur comes from this period. This coat is a rich faux fur, warm enough for cold winter days, but light enough to wear out for a cool fall evening as well. It is double breasted with black buttons and a belt that is removable so it can be worn belted or not. The sleeves are raglan cut and are a bit short by modern standards, but perfectly in style for the time. They would wear long gloves (this coat would look fabulous with long, black leather gloves!) The collar is large and can be pulled up in back to stall a freezing wind. Although it is not marked, I would estimate it at a M/L. Buttoned, the fit is ample around the hips. On a 5'6" woman it hits about 4" above the knee. PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a vintage piece there are some tiny tears in the armpit seams and in the pocket seams -- nothing you couldn't easily repair with a needle and thread (just like your Mama taught you!). Other than these, it is in excellent vintage condition.
