Certificate for One (1) Week of Summer Arts Adventures 2017 at the Farmington Valley Arts Center

Sessions run daily from 9am-1pm and are ideal for kids entering 2nd grade through 8th grade.  Registrant must sign up by May 1st, 2017. 

Choose from the following eight themed weeks:

Session 1: June 19 - June 23 / Art in Action
Draw, paint and sculpt your favorite characters from the action and cartoon world. Imagine yourself as a superhero and star in your own artwork!

Session 2: June 26 - June 30 / Mix and Match
Not sure what your favorite art material is? Experiment with everything from paint to clay and fiber to wood!

Session 3: July 5 - 7* / Clay all the Way
Fire up your creativity and learn the art and craft of pottery making while exploring the magic of clay, paints and glazes. *3 days plus one extra Friday of your choice for glazing.

Session 4: July 10 - 14 / Drawn to Nature
Artists will explore the beauty of the natural world as they depict the nearby flora and fauna using a variety of materials and techniques.

Session 5: July 17 - 21 / Magical Fantasy
Once upon a time ... create fantasy creatures and settings inspired by your favorite stories, movies, and imagination.

Session 6: July 24 - 28 / Passport to Art
This is your ticket for exciting global art making adventures! Begin each day in a new country & design your own artwork based on your visit!

Session 7 July 31 - August 4 / Thumbs up for 3D
Art adventurers will add some depth to their works of art created in metal, paper, wood, stone, fiber, plaster, ceramics, or any other material we can find to create 3-dimensional art.

Session 8 August 7 - 11 / The Deep Blue
An ocean of projects will inspire artists as they explore fish, fin and all things aquatic.

Session 9 August 14 - 18 / Magical Fantasy
Once upon a time ... create fantasy creatures and settings inspired by your favorite stories, movies, and imagination.

During the summer, the Farmington Valley Arts Center's picturesque and inspiring Avon campus becomes a place where young artists unleash their creativity and develop confidence in their abilities to express their ideas.  Each week campers will be led by professional teaching artists in projects related to the theme of the week using various mediums including painting, drawing, pottery, sculpture and collage.

Item Special Note

If this item is won it can be picked up at Canton Intermediate School, 39 Dyer Avenue in Canton, CT, between 8am and 11am on Saturday, February 25th, 2017. If the winner is unable to make the local pick up, the item can also be shipped within the continental US at the expense of the winner. If shipping is requested, shipping costs will be added to the winning bid amount. The shipping charge for this item is $7 and is non-negotiable. This item will be mailed to the winner via USPS Priority Mail which includes USPS Tracking®. Shipping is calculated for each item won and will not be combined/reduced for winners of multiple items.

If shipping is requested, a shipping address needs to be provided via email to winterfestival06019@gmail.com by 6pm Friday, February 24th, 2017 to ensure prompt shipping.
