About Chandler Haft and Bit Company
We are a small but dedicated handle company that restores vintage American made axes for use by Enthusiasts, Survivalists, Hunters, Sportsmen, Hikers, Campers and even Firefighters.
Each of the Handles that become pared with a bit are hand crafted and not done on a lathe like most mass produced handles.
We spent years learning the traditional methods of making traditional axe handles using tools like a draw knife. We clean the axe heads we find and make them like new again. Many of our customers buy our axes for purely aesthetic purposes. Who wouldn't want an axe hanging in the game room or one on display in the lounge. While they look great, they are actually functional tools that work better than many other kinds on the market. We provide all the help you could need to decide on what kind of axe you need.
