Item Description
Beautiful old opera glasses that have been in my family since before 1910 and I would love them to go to a new generation to treasure and enjoy! They do work, the mother-of-pearl is intact, the magnifying glass is good shape and the turner works fine. They do need a good polish with a soft brass cleaner.
The left eye sees the writing on the mother of pearl: "Marchand" and "Paris" The right eye sees: Andrew J. Lloyd, Boston, who had two shops in Boston for eyewear and may have been where these were purchases. On the brass is written: "Made in France."
Now for a good opera!
