Since the first vintage of Darius II nearly 20 years ago, Darioush has sought to highlight ancient traditions in Persian Art, honoring Proprietors Darioush and Shahpar Khaledi's heritage. Each vintage bears a detail from a Persian artwork, now a visual hallmark that has become synonymous with Darius II. With the release of the remarkable 2013 vintage, Darioush has joined together with London's Victoria and Albert Museum to feature time-honored works from their vast archives. With your winning bid, take home a rare, hand-etched and painted double magnum (3L) bottle of 2013 Darius II Cabernet Sauvignon from this noteworthy vintage, crafted from Darioush's vineyard estate atop Mount Veeder, Napa Valley's southernmost peak. To make this bottle even more special, it is signed by Darioush Khaledi himself!

The winning bidder will also enjoy an immersive Darioush experience for 2 couples, including a Culture of Wine luncheon hosted in the private gardens of Darioush and Shahpar Khaledi on their Napa Valley winery estate. Resident Wine Historian and your host for the occasion, Nina Wemyss is a contagiously passionate raconteur who will take you on a journey into the 7,000-year history of wine, interweaving Darioush's personal journey and illustrating her tales with rare wine antiques. Having presented to audiences at the Smithsonian Institute, Art Institute of Chicago and many others, Nina inspires both the wine novice and seasoned connoisseur alike. The ever-evolving lunch menu showcases the seasonal bounty of the Napa Valley. Savor limited and winery-exclusive releases paired with dishes prepared by the winery chef.

Luncheon must be scheduled for a mutually agreed-upon date before 11/9/17.

Bidder is responsible for any shipping and handling fees, which will be added to the winning bid amount; items will be shipped and billed at standard industry rates after Thanksgiving. In lieu of shipping, bidder can also arrange for pick-up in Napa, Marin, or San Francisco. To receive your item prior to Thanksgiving, you may pick up your item at the Oxbow School in Napa during business hours between Nov. 21-23.
