Item Description
Kate deRenouard of Moon Mountain Studios has graciously donated a one-of-a-kind piece from her Netting collection. The beautiful hand crafted porcelain vase has been fired three times to get the stunning finish and texture that makes this vase so unique. The simplic beauty of nature and her asian asthetic is often seen as a common thread to many of her pieces. See more of her creations by visiting www.moonmountainstudio.com
Born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, Kate has spent the last 30+ years living abroad in such exotic places as the Canary Islands, Switzerland, Southern Spain, the arctic north of Greenland and, most recently, in France and the Valley of the Moon, Sonoma, California. Although she dabbled in various artistic trades over the years (photography, art dealer), most of her time was spent in the restaurant, food and wine industries until she arrived in Sonoma County. Following six years of formal artistic training where she learned the technical side of ceramics, she built her palette of technique and artistic expression, and opened her own Moon Mountain Studios in 1994.
A member of the Association of Clay and Glass Association since 1997, her works have been shown in galleries and private collections both in the U.S. and in Europe, including:
- Ren Brown Gallery, Bodega Bay
- Dayle Dunn Gallery, Half Moon Bay
- Virginia Breier Gallery, San Francisco
- Sonoma Art Guilds Gallery, Sonoma
- Eminent Design, Sonoma,
