Item Description

This iron teapot has a hexagonal kikko design. The kikko pattern is a common design in Japanese culture, and was used widely when shaping metal for samurai armor. It is associated with the shape found on a the shell of a tortoise. This teapot is made by Iwachu in Morioka (Iwate Prefecture), known for their aunthentic and high quality ironware products.

The pot is 6.75” wide and 4.25” Tall and probably holds tea for about 3 cups.
