Item Description

Pride & Passion Benefit and Auction, our 15th annual event will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. We are thrilled to announce that Josh Kraft, the Nicholas President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and an outstanding ally will be this year’s Cornerstone of Equality Award winner. We will also present the 2017 Elsie Frank Scholarship Awards to young leaders who have made their schools safer for LGBTQ students and allies. We’ll have a short live auction of unique and priceless items to wrap up the evening. It’s going to be powerful night to support the programs of Greater Boston PFLAG and thank our allies who daily make such a difference in so many lives.

In these unsettling times of blatant bigotry and divisive language coming from the highest levels of our government, it is more important than ever to ask for your investment in Greater Boston PFLAG and the life-saving and life-changing programs that we bring into middle and high schools, workplaces, health care settings and communities of faith across the state. This year we are celebrating our allies and those who stand up and speak out in support of the LGBTQ community. These friends are the heroes who treat all LGBTQ people equally with dignity and respect and do not sit back silently when derogatory terms are used or people are being bullied in their schoolyards, office cubicles or social groups.

About Greater Boston PFLAG: Greater Boston PFLAG is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that began in 1978.  We are part of a national grassroots organization with over 350 affiliates located throughout the United States.  The Greater Boston chapter is the largest in the country.  We bring together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) persons and their parents, families, and friends to uphold our mission: Education, Support, and Advocacy.
