Item Description
Reserved Seated Tasting for four (4) guests at VJB Vineyards in Sonoma County.
“The whole operation is a family affair and you can feel that in the air at VJB—this place is about as warm-hearted and welcoming as it gets.” – Robert Parker Wine Journal
Across the North Bay, more and more wineries are incorporating a food experience into their tastings, whether it's providing complimentary cheese and crackers or offering multicourse, chef-prepared sit-down meals by reservation. But few wineries have embraced the spirit as enthusiastically as VJB Vineyards & Cellars in Kenwood, which this summer opened a Tuscan marketplace featuring La Cucina deli and espresso bar, a pizza salon with an outdoor wood-fired oven, a gelato and pastry shop, and a gourmet grocery. Oh, and there's a wine tasting bar, too, with a wide range of Italian varietals.
From the road, it looks like an Italian estate, framed by Montepulciano and Aglianico vines. Inside, visitors can sip and snack, sip and shop, and sip and soak up some sun (or avoid the rain under umbrellas) on the courtyard patio piazza, where for special events, the opera singers serenade from a second-story balcony.
