Item Description

Bring the mitzvah to your simcha with a Soaringwords experience that everyone will enjoy at your celebration. Perfect for Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties, Birthday parties and Anniversary celebrations.

You and your friends will have a blast decorating SoaringQuilts® and SoaringPillows® with inspirational messages and cool artwork to cheer hospitalized children in the US or in Israel.

Soaringwords, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to embrace hospitalized children and their families, encouraging positive health and healing. When a child is ill, the whole family is in crisis. Hospitalization is a stressful and painful experience for a child with limited opportunities for choice and control. Pediatric patients are isolated from family, friends, classmates, and a sense of community.

Soaringwords’ initiatives provide fun, creative and educational modules (“interventions”) based on positive psychology concepts that enhance well-being and are empirically measured.

Lisa Buksbaum started Soaringwords 15 years ago, today it has embraced more than 250,000 children and their families through programs in hospitals, synagogues, churches, community centers, schools, and homeless shelters. Soaringwords also links caring individuals around the world to hospitalized children and orphans in Israel. I started the SoaringBridges to Israel initiative two weeks after the Passover bombing in 2002. To date, it has supported 11,000 hospitalized children in Israel. You can choose if the gifts that you and your friends decorate and create will go to hospitalized children in NYC or in Israel, or both. Lisa will donate SoaringQuilts and SoaringPillows for you to share at your next celebration.
