Chef Nancy Oakes is a pioneer of haute American cuisine. Her unparalleled standard of excellence and accessible yet groundbreaking dishes have kept diners returning for decades.
Chef Oakes already had a loyal following when she opened the much acclaimed L’Avenue in San Francisco in 1988, followed by Boulevard Restaurant in 1993, which earned numerous local, national and international accolades, including the James Beard Foundation Award for “Best Chef: California” 2001 and “Outstanding Restaurant in the United States” 2012, as well as the Filiale des Etats-Unis in France. Prospect Restaurant San Francisco’s flourishing South of Market/Embarcadero neighborhood is her most recent very successful venture.
