Grits. C.A.S.E., an acronym for Center for Agricultural Study and Excellence is a program at rural Irwin County High School. In its 15th year, the 20 acres of cultivated land gives students hands-on l earning on farming from growing to the technology involved in agriculture and marketing agricultural products. The students have a small portable grist mill where they produce their own grits and cornmeal.
