Complete your bucket list with a once in a lifetime opportunity to take a private off road four wheel drive tour of Sandy Neck led by a professional naturalist who will explain the unique Sandy Neck ecology and its wildlife.
Depending on the season chosen, search the dunes for snowy owls, scan the water for stranded sea turtles, observe sea birds and seals, and enjoy the spectacular landscape.The round trip includes the full length of Sandy Neck beach.
The highlight of this experience is a private tour of the historic and privately owned early 19th century Sandy Neck lighthouse where you will climb the antique staircase to the top of the tower and enjoy sweeping 360 degree views of the spectacular vistas above Barnstable Harbor. Sunset hours are truly breathtaking!
This is available for up to two people, and is not available to the public. It would make a very special gift for someone, and is truly a one of a kind experience.
Item Special Note
The trip for two is available to be scheduled on a date arranged between January and April 30, 2017, and September 15 to December 30, 2017. The agreed date is dependent on weather and tides.
This trip is not wheel chair accessible.
Sandy Neck enjoys a very close relationship with the Cape Wildlife Center, as many of the injured animals and birds from the park are treated and rehabilitated there.
