Big City Swing’s Group Classes Are the Perfect Way to Learn Swing Dance!
Whether you’re looking to have fun, meet new people, get fit, or learn something new, our group classes are your solution. We offer group classes in East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Dips ‘n’ Tricks, and other jazz era dances from the 1920s-1950s. Each session we offer classes for the novice to the enthusiast to the competitor.
Classes are typically one hour a week for four consecutive weeks and have about 10-30 fellow dancers in each. Nearly all of our Swing I students are just like you – totally new to dance and looking to have some fun.
Group classes are typically taught by two instructors, so you’ll get the best visual inspiration for both the leads and the follows. You do not need a partner as we encourage partner-rotation (and more than 50% of our attendees attend class without a partner), but you may certainly enroll as a couple and dance together throughout the class.
