Item Description

The choshen was the breastplate worn by the High Priest: twelve different kinds of jewels set in gold, and attached to the ephod (a kind of linen outer apron), below which dangled rings and chains of precious metal, fruit made of yarn, and other decorative elements. This print uses text from Parashat Pekudei (Exodus 39:8-26) to create an image of that breastplate.

This item is a framed 16” x 20” giclée print, in a natural wood frame, of original art based on a stained-glass window in the BJ 88th St. sanctuary.

Goren Judaica art, created by BJ member Harriet Goren, combines hand-drawn Hebrew words with digital paint to create vivid, expressive prints of Hebrew poetry, psalms, and prayers. Printed with pigmented inks on watercolor paper, each piece is signed and numbered. Please visit www.GorenJudaica.com to see more.
