Item Description

Thomas Barnes and Drew Robinson are teaming up to provide four lucky people with an experience unlike any other.  When the weather gets nicer, the four winners will meet up with Thomas and Drew in northern Maryland.  The day will begin with a full safety brief where you and your three friends will learn how to operate each and every firearm present, as well as how to conduct ourselves throughout the day, since professionalism and firearms go hand in hand.  After that, we will move to the field where we will spend the rest of the day learning how to shoot.  We will start with off pistols, learning how to acquire and engage a stationary target.  Then we will move a little further back, first to the 50 yard line, and then the 100, as we transition to carbines, firing an HK MR762.

Along the way we will learn to acquire moving targets by shooting skeet with a Remington 870.  While it is expected that each person will fire upwards of 200 rounds throughout the day, for the last evolution each participant will be given five 338 Lapua Mangum rounds, to be fired from a Barrett M98B on the 300 yard line.  But the day doesn't end there.

Once finished, we will return from the field where Thomas will provide a late lunch.  Tentative menu: freshly ground, stuffed ribeye burgers, chips and freshly-made dip, and beer.

Drew Robinson is a 2L at UB Law, Treasurer of the Veterans and Military Law Student Association, student-attorney in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic, and is planning on a career in the United States Marine Corps as a JAG officer.

Thomas is a 3L at UB Law, a prior-service sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, a certified NRA pistol instructor, and the owner of Firearm Safety and Proficiency Training, Inc., a company focused on teaching legal professionals about firearms in order to assist them in better serving their clients.
