Item Description
The small ivory colored elephant is Chez glass and represents the fragility of the earth's largest at land animal.
The red bead is Carnelian, a semi-precious stone that represents the blood shed by 100 elephants every day for Ivory products.
The silver heart is hematite or black onyx which represents the broken hearts of those trying to save the elephants from extinction.
The round grey stone is agate representing the earth, or more specifically Africa.
The rest of the beads are glass seed beads, or glass Chez beads, and sterling silver decorative beads.
Jewelry maker Andrea originally created these bracelets to benefit her pet project, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Safari. She lives in Royal Oak, MI, USA & has organized the annual Global March for Elephants and Rhinos for at least three years.
